Networks for Next Gen Buildings
Founded
in 2001, Bandwidth Now installs, provisions and manages Building
Optical Network (BON). By treating bandwidth as the 4th utility,
the BON Aggregates Bandwidth, Automates IT, Integrates Building
System sand enables Wi-Fi. Bandwidth Now launched its first
pilot project in San Diego, the 330,000 square foot NBC Buildings
part of a "learning community project" with Intel
Online Services. Today, Bandwidth Now buildings include One
America Plaza, The NBC Building, SBC Building and the San
Diego Tech Center. Bandwidth Now has been nominated by Intel
for the Computerworld Honors Program's 21st Century Achievement
Award. The Computerworld Honors Program brings together the
Chairmen or CEO's of the foremost information technology companies
in the world to document a revolution in progress: the global
information technology revolution. This Program is dedicated
to identifying the men and women, organizations and institutions,
that are leading this revolution and to recording thee impact
of their achievements on society.
Founders

Matthew T. Spathas | matts@bandwidthnow.com
Matt has over 20 years of real estate experience. Also a partner
in SENTRE Partners, which has real estate holdings in the
San Diego and Mexico. SENTRE has acquired, developed or managed
in excess of $700 million. SENTRE, an acronym for "Stewards
and Entrepreneurs of Real Estate", plays at the intersection
of real estate, technology and purpose. Prior to joining SENTRE,
Mr. Spathas spent 8 years with Trammell Crow Company, the
nation's largest commercial development company.
Matt is also leading the Bandwidth Bay Wi-Fi Hot Spot initiative,
a consortium of the City of San Diego (CCDC) the San Diego
Economic Development Corporation and leading the deployment
Wi-Fi (wireless) "Hot Spots" as an "urban internet
amenity" in downtown San Diego. Matt is also a board
member of Aztec Venture Network, Aztec Venture Network a San
Diego-based seed capital and mentoring resource available
to qualified early-stage companies in need of financing and
business coaching expertise in order to advance their business
plan.
Matt is a graduate of Oregon State University. He is a licensed
real estate broker in the California. He is active in the
San Diego Community serving on the Big Brothers Big Sisters
of San Diego board and was a recent recipient of Big Brothers
Man of the Year Award.
Stephen B. Williams | stevew@bandwidthnow.com
Steve has over 25 years of real estate experience. Steve focuses
on new clients, new concepts and new ideas. He was formerly
a partner with Trammell Crow Company where he was responsible
for the San Diego division. Prior to that, he was an investment
salesman for Coldwell Banker in their Santa Ana office. Steve
began his career as a certified public accountant with Arthur
Young.
Steve graduated from UCLA and received an MBA from USC. He
is a licensed CPA. He is active in the community and currently
serves on the boards of the Burnham Institute and the Reuben
Fleet Science Center. Steve is a past recipient of the Alonzo
Horton Founder's Award, downtown San Diego's most prestigious
honor. For the past ten years, Steve has taught a one-hour
class for Jr. Achievement at an inner city high school.
